Subject:Re: Happy New Year
Karen ( my daughter) says that we are a family
of Witches.) This is a good thing. I have had a few of these
experiences, but I will describe the most recent strong experience. At
the time Sheldon was dying, Marigail and I went to see him. He had been
pretty much in a comma for 3 days. We had been at Mom's for several
hours. I had an urge to go stand by him. I stood there rubbing the top
of his head, probably like everyone else had done over the years. I
felt great love for this old man and a great sadness that this is what
happens to people in their old age. He opened his eyes and looked at
me. He took my hand and held it very tightly. He then said " I love
you, and always had". I lookd down at him and his eyes changed. A few
moments later Marigail walked into the room. She went over to him.
Again he opened his eyes and took her arm. He told her he loved her.
He then went back to sleep. He was so fragile. After we left I said,
"Marigail, Did you notice anything about Sheldon when he spoke to you?"
"Like what Linda?" in a not so friendly tone. I said "Like his eyes".
She responded in a angry tone of voice. "Well they weren't Dad's". I
told her I knew that. "They were Grandma Helle's eyes". We both
started to cry. I said "Do you know what this means, noone leaves this
place without a loved one coming for them. Kathy (my daughter) was not
alone." We both believe we had experienced a miricle. Later we went
back to Mom's after Sheldon had died and helped her with Sheldon's
funeral. We mentioned this to Mom and Pat. Pat said that is so weird.
Sheldon kept mentioning a woman standing by him and saying "Can't you
see her". He kept calling out the names of his brothers and sister.
The nurse said to ignore him. This happens all the time. They are
hallucinating. What does she know? Mom said to Marigail and I, "You
sound just like your Dad's side of the family". We both would swear on
a stack of bibles, we saw Grandma Helle in Sheldon's eyes.
